We spent the day with the Rills and Katie & Henry (our nanny and her son). After the orthodontist, bookstore and an afternoon at IKEA, we headed to the firehouse to see Uncle David at work.

It was Henry's first time at the firehouse. His little neck had to work hard to hold up this helmet! Katie said he talked about it all night to his dad.

Do you think this will make the fashion magazines?

It is hard to get good pics in the gear because of the reflections, but I like this one because it reminds me that T really is still a kid who has a lot of growing to do. And fast as the time may go, Al and I have a long time left to parent her - which is good for all three of us.

Right now this little girl's dream is to be a firefighter girl.

Saige spent the day with her best friend Raven (and little sister, Kendall). She and Raven met in pre-school 5 years ago and ended up in dual language together, which means they will be in the same class through 5th grade. The girls have this plan to dye Raven's curly blond hair reddish, so they can wear these matching outfits and fool their teacher.
They write each other the cutest notes, "I wish you could be my sister" and "I will DIE if we don't get a playdate soon." Good thing Raven's mom let them spend the whole day together! God has really blessed our girls with some great school friends who have parents we can really trust.

It's so good to know that Saige has such a great friend, Raven, to go through school with...you're so lucky!
Looks like a great day!
