Proud of my Cousin

One night I played hooky from AWANA and cruised on over to Maine South to see my cousin, Kendell get inducted into National Honor Society. It is a big acheivement for any student, but really meaningful for Kendell who has had to overcome some significant learning disabilities to be successful academically.

I cannot wait until Kendell graduates and she can come to my school to speak to students who struggle with the same things.

They never said it, but I know this meant a lot to auntie betty and uncle len, who spent countless hours helping Kendell to discover ways to be successful. I remember going over there and watching her practice spelling words in shaving cream, and in chalk on the driveway. It takes a lot.
Love you, Kendell.
