Happy Birthday to gairette!

Where's the birthday girl?

The perfect plates for her birthday breakfast!

Off to church we go!

The perfect gift from one Bears fan to another.

Then off to the Museum of Science & Industry for the afternoon.
This is the Japan tree, Abbie. We were excited because A. betty & kendell had just made these ornaments with the girls.

We want to know how to make this one!

The Native American Tree with 2 descendents... (wish we had the paperwork to prove it!)

Checking out the outside of the museum...

Even Gram got in on it!

The girls don't ever remember being in this part of the museum, so we spent a long time here. We were teasing that this is the closest Kendell will ever get to the military, unless she marries into it! (Note gairette moving - hence the reason she is not in too many b-day pics!)

Finally, she sits!

With Gram in the U-505 exhibit. The girls were amazed that Gram remembered WWII. She needs to tell us more stories.

Not a great picture, but I like that Gram got in on the fun.

The whole birthday gang.

We couldn't see the trees without visiting China!

Other ornaments we want to learn to make.

She wanted this picture with her present

Obviously Gram isn't as brave as my mom when it comes to being pushed in the wheelchair.

We went to this Japanese musical exhibition just for Chris and Abbie. It was pretty cool.
Happy birthday, g!

Happy birthday G! It looks like you had so much fun. We have that hangman game too and we love it!

I've seen those origami balls here - we'll have to figure out how to make them before we come back! And we really do have those "Taiko" drums here - I think they are some of my favorite drums now!

(And...I still check your blog! ;))
